Sir Emyr Jones Parry, Britain's
ambassador to the United Nations departed
New York yesterday on retirement from the UK Diplomatic Service.
The
ambassador has been the UK Permanent Representative to the UN since 2003 where
he has dealt with many difficult and important issues of war and peace in the
Security Council.

Parry recently sat down with CBS UN correspondent Frank Ucciardo to talk about
some of the those key issues as well as his own career and the future of the
United Nations.
