(MaximsNews.com, U.N.)

"This
document makes clear that human-caused
global warming is a serious and
worsening threat to human society and
the earths ecosystems upon which all
forms of life depend upon for
survival," said Ted Glick,
co-leader of the New
Jersey Climate March.
"The
conclusions are the work of more than
2,500 scientists from over 130
countries," he said.

"Fossil
fuel emissions are generating stronger droughts and heat waves, growing water
scarcity and stronger storms, and it is very likely that these will get worse,"
Glick emphasized.
"Now
is the time for people to stand up for a fundamental change in
U.S.
energy policy,
he declared.
Global
warming is drying up water supplies and melting mountain snows so rapidly that
major rivers are going dry, said Carlos Rymer, coordinator of the New Jersey
Climate March.
With
increasing global warming pollution this will only get worse.
Montana
and
Wyoming, for example, are fighting in courts for the rights to water
resources," said Rymer.
"Global
warming threatens to disrupt interstate and international relations," he
continued.
"The
issues are not just about polar bears and rising seas... they involve conflicts
and security threats too, he said.
The
New Jersey Climate March (April 13-16)
is a state-wide effort to demand strong state action to cut global warming
pollution to 1990 levels by 2020 and 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050.
The
Climate March will take place from April 13 to April 16, beginning at Rutgers-
New Brunswick
with a kickoff rally featuring Assemblywoman Linda Stender, the prime assembly
sponsor of the Global Warming Response Act, ground-breaking legislation that
would bring
New Jersey's global warming pollution to 1990 levels by 2020.
The
Climate March will end in front of the State House in
Trenton
on April 16 with a large rally that will feature legislators and statewide
leaders of major environmental organizations.
The
March will also feature large rallies at
Princeton
University
and The College of New Jersey before ending at
Trenton.
Hundreds
of people are expected to fill the streets as they march down to
Trenton
in support of bold legislation to fight this planetary crisis. To join the
march or for more information, visit www.njclimatemarch.org.
